Background
The company offers a broad range of building automation products and applications, supporting customers daily in using these products effectively. To enhance this support, we aim to explore the potential of a documentation-based chatbot for assisting customers with basic troubleshooting. This project will evaluate the chatbot’s relevance and accuracy in providing helpful solutions.
Proposals for master thesis
AI SUPPORT CHATBOT
This thesis aims to explore the application of AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), in developing an AI-driven support chatbot enhanced by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. The project will focus on creating a system capable of dynamically retrieving relevant information, structuring data for optimal retrieval processes, and assessing end-to-end performance.
The proposed work could involve:
Data Collection and Structuring: Identifying, gathering, and structuring datasets to support effective information retrieval. This will include both initial data sources and structured test data for comprehensive evaluation.
Evaluation of RAG Techniques: Exploring and implementing various RAG approaches, such as embeddings and diverse search methodologies, to determine their effectiveness in enhancing chatbot response accuracy and relevance.
Performance Analysis: Evaluating the chatbot’s performance by comparing different retrieval methods and their impacts on overall, relevance, and response accuracy.
The above approach is just a suggestion and there is a high degree of freedom for you to design a thesis that suits your and our interests.

- You are studying computer science / software engineering on a Bachelor or a Master of Science program.
- You have interest and knowledge in AI and data analytics.
